Grow a Pet Fighter Pets & Fighters
Observed pets, protection rules before fusion, and how to judge new hatches without a fake complete bestiary.
What this hub covers
The Pets Hub is your roster home for Grow a Pet Fighter. It explains how pets enter the game, which observed species show up in early play, and how to protect valuable fighters before you open the fusion screen. Category routing stays under /players/ for the wiki template, but every section here is about pets, not human player profiles.
Pair this page with the tier list decision lenses, the Fusion guide, and How to Play.
How pets enter your roster
- Eggs — Find A Strange Egg (and later eggs) at the base, pay the food / hatch cost shown in your server, and receive a pet. See Eggs.
- Feeding — Use the Treat Bowl and bones gathered around the Arena to level fighters. See Arena.
- Combat — Send pets through TO ARENA and Tower floors to grow power and cash. See Tower.
- Fusion — Combine pets on the PETS screen; parents are consumed. See Fusion.
- Offline — Stronger rosters improve the cash you collect when returning. See Offline cash.
Prices, odds, and unlock text change. Always trust the live prompt over any outdated dollar amount in a guide.
Observed pets (incomplete on purpose)
Confirmed or strongly observed names from September 2026 walkthroughs and play sessions:
- Frog — Frequently tied to the early Food Bowl hatch path (about $60 in one Sep 16 recording).
- Lizard — Early hatch in public playthroughs; solid starter alongside Frog.
- Chicken — Appears in the mixed pet pool; do not confuse with Grow a Chicken Fighter codes or tiers.
- Kitsune — Less common sighting; protect until you own a duplicate.
- T-Rex — High-fantasy fighter; evaluate for Tower before any merge.
- Baby dragon — Rare observation; treat as protect-first.
This is not a full species database. More pets will appear through new eggs, events, or updates. When you hatch something unnamed here, record its stats in your own notes and compare with Arena/Tower performance before fusing it away.
Best pets guide (practical, not mythical)
“Best” depends on the job:
- Best for learning — Whatever hatches first (often Frog or Lizard). Send it, die, learn the UI.
- Best for Arena loops — The pet that clears your current bracket with the fewest retries while bones stay available.
- Best for Tower — Your highest reliable clearer. Swap only when a new hatch beats it on live floors.
- Best for fusion fuel — Extra copies of commons after you already own a stable clearer.
- Best to protect — Any unique Kitsune, T-Rex, baby dragon, or personal favorite that still carries content.
Re-rank after patches. The tier list expands these lenses without inventing fake S-tiers from other games.
Protection rules before fusion
Fusion is permanent consumption of the pets you offer. Before you confirm:
- Count copies. If you only own one of a useful clearer, do not offer it.
- Lock or park keepers outside the fusion slots if the UI allows favorites / locks.
- Preview the result. If the screen does not show a clear outcome, cancel and wait for a clearer patch.
- Never fuse your only Tower pet “to see what happens.”
- Screenshot rare hatches so you remember what you owned if a script’s Auto Fuse misfires — see Scripts warnings.
Players who skip protection rebuild from Strange Egg again while others climb floors. Slow down.
Disambiguation: other Roblox pet games
- Grow a Chicken Fighter (Sergio Verse) — chicken roster, different codes, different fusion culture.
- Pet Fighters — separate combat experience; its tier lists do not apply.
If a guide mixes those names into Grow a Pet Fighter advice, ignore the roster claims and come back to this hub.
Suggested reading order
- Getting Started and How to Play
- Eggs → Arena → Tower
- This Pets Hub + Tier List
- Fusion only when you have duplicates
- Offline cash to understand AFK income
- Codes if a redeem UI appears later
Summary
Grow a Pet Fighter pets come from eggs, grow through Arena and Tower, and disappear forever if you fuse carelessly. Use the incomplete observed list as a starting map, protect uniques, feed commons into merges only after you can still clear content, and ignore tier tables stolen from other Roblox titles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What pets exist in Grow a Pet Fighter?
Observed pets include Frog, Lizard, Chicken, Kitsune, T-Rex, and baby dragon. The roster is incomplete and will grow with updates.
Which pet should I protect first?
Protect any unique rarer hatch (Kitsune, T-Rex, baby dragon) and whichever pet currently clears your highest Arena or Tower content.
Is Chicken the same as Grow a Chicken Fighter units?
No. A Chicken pet here lives in Grow a Pet Fighter’s own balance. Do not import that game’s codes or tier lists.
How do I get more pets?
Hatch eggs with the food costs shown in your server, then level fighters with bones and combat. See the Eggs and Arena guides.
Why is this page under /players/?
The wiki template uses the players category for roster hubs. Content here is entirely about pets and fighters.
